RIVERDALE, Md., Sep 20, 2005 – Gryphon Technologies, L.C., a leading systems engineering, integration, and information technology company, announced today that it has been awarded Submarine Non Propulsion Electronic Systems (NPES) Programs Engineering, Life-Cycle, and In-Service Support Services contract from the Naval Sea Systems Command’s (NAVSEA’s) Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) located in Newport, RI.

The 5-year contract was awarded based on a best value determination and requires Gryphon to provide up to 706,800 hours. The indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with cost plus fixed fee provisions will have individual orders under this contract. Gryphon will provide professional support services for NUWCDIVNPT’s Submarine NPES systems engineering, software engineering, hardware engineering, logistics engineering, field engineering, in-service engineering and life cycle support facilities, computer resources, and program and engineering management requirements.

Gryphon’s services support the Submarine NPES and Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS) encompassing submarine: Combat Control Systems (CCS); Acoustic and Shipboard Sensor Systems; Combat Systems, Command, Control, Communication and Computer Information (C5I) Systems; Weapon Launch Systems; and associated interfaces deployed onboard SSN 688, SSN 688I, Ohio, Seawolf, and Virginia Class submarine platforms.
