Gibbs & Cox, Inc. (G&C)

is a Professional Engineering Corporation headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, with offices in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, New York City, Washington, DC, Newport News, Virginia; and New Orleans, Louisiana. The firm provides management, engineering, design, and related professional services, and specializes in the design of naval ships for the U.S. and international navies and shipyards. G&C has developed the detail design drawings for over 6000 ships, including every U.S. destroyer, except the DD963 class, since 1933. Over 60% of the current U.S Navy surface combatant fleet is built to G&C designs, including the DDG 51 and FFG 7 Class ships. In addition, over 15 navies worldwide operate ships built to G&C designs, including ships transferred to international navies under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program or built in-country.
